Research, teaching, and public impact
My research typically begins with a hypothesis about how individuals make decisions or how a policy will affect them. I test these ideas in collaboration with firms and governments, often through field experiments.
I was named a Sloan Research Fellow, an award recognizing outstanding early-career faculty with the potential to revolutionize their fields of study. My work has appeared in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, and The Review of Economic Studies, and has been featured by outlets including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
At UCLA Anderson, I teach the core MBA course in Microeconomics. I have received the Earl F. Cheit Award for Excellence in MBA Teaching and was recognized by Poets&Quants as one of the Best 40-Under-40 Business School Professors.
